By looking at the film poster for The Blair Witch Project we have taken inspiration on a few elements present on this film poster than will will use on our own. The use of darkness and highly contrasted whites as this connotes both darkness and mystery, themes that are present in both our short film and the horror genre itself. This film posters has also inspired us as a group to use similar imagery/layout on the film poster we produce, as we feel the use of the forest helps set up the location of the film and the extreme close up of the character introduces the element of fear therefore sets up the theme of the film.
It is clear to see which direction your own ideas are heading in. Please be more explicit on the blog about how you will adapt these ideas in your own poster. The use of docu-drama is highlighted here as a powerful sales point. Where are the case studies of film reviews?
